Kanye West’s demands didn’t sit well with his audience during a recent Yeezus tour stop in Australia. Reports claimed that the rapper asked the entire crowd in Sydney to get up on their feet and allegedly picked on two handicapped fans.
“I decided I can’t do this song, I can’t do the rest of this show until everybody stand up,” he said while performing “The Good Life.” “Unless you got a handicap pass where you get special parking and shit. And I’ma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me. I’m real good at that.”
According to a video from the show, West then pointed out two fans who were sitting, saying, “This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do the song, it’s unbelievable. Now if he is in a wheelchair, then it’s fine.” Once he received word that the audience members were handicapped, he continued on with the show.
It wasn’t long before his wife, Kim Kardashian, came to his defense. “What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media,” she posted on Instagram, along with a clip of her hubby’s concert.
“Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings”
