Olivia Pope & Associates is back. After leaving us in glass cases of emotion, Scandal is done hibernating and back to block out our Thursday nights. Before we break out the red wine bottles, let’s revisit the key points from Scandal‘s winter finale, a.k.a. Episode 9 “Where the Sun Don’t Shine” before the Shonda Rhimes show returns tonight (Jan. 29).
1. Olivia orders Fitz and Jake to lock up her mother and “hunt, find, and kill” her father
2. Huck murders an assassin in front of his son
3. Photos of Cyrus Beene having sex with his rented prostitute leak. Liv’s quick-fix: Marry him to keep his post at the White House
4. After discovering she was B613 prey, Quinn’s ex, Charlie (who had a kill card on her) says he still has feelings for her forks over secret files to Huck
5. Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, Elizabeth North (played by Portia de Rossi), is sleeping with the Vice President, who’s also sleeping with the Fist Lady, Mellie Grant
6. Fiery redhead Abby’s potential new bae is Leo Bergen, which doesn’t sit well with ex-boyfriend/ Assistant U.S. Attorney, David Rosen. Clearly, he needs one of these:
7. Liv has a standoff with Papa Pope. Key line: “There would be no Olivia Pope if not for me.”
9. Quinn discovers that WACO Inc. has a stash of Liv photos and that the terrorist attack was staged.
10. After a living room dance, Jake steps out of the room and returns to find Olivia Pope missing.
