Oh, what a ruckus Kendrick Lamar made in hip-hop when that hot plate of a verse on Big Sean’s “Control” burned bridges. Nearly a month after its lyrical destruction of calling out fellow rap cronies from Big K.R.I.T. to Mac Miller, the tension between Drake and KDot continues to make its way into interviews and bars.
This past weekend, the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards were taped in Atlanta and hosted a plethora of cyphers including one with Top Dawg Entertainment. A snippet of Kendrick’s contribution has surfaced and once again, Drizzy is the subject.
“Yeah…and nothing’s been the same since they dropped “Control”/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his Pajama Clothes,” the Compton kid raps. “Ha-ha jokes on you, high-five…..I’m bulletproof/ Your sh*ts a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey boy you been a fake….”
Watch him talk that talk over Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones Part. II” below before the full bar fest airs on BET Tuesday, October 15 at 8P/7C.
