There was no shortage of shade during Lil’ Kim’s interview with The Breakfast Club (Sept. 29). While the petite rapper spoke on motherhood and scoffed at the idea of a M.A.F.I.A. reunion, she also went in on K. Michelle and Nicki Minaj.
After likening the songstress to a bag of Trail Mix, Kim said she only met K. Michelle one time. “Why would I make this woman my grandmother?,” said Kim, refuting K. Michelle’s statement from her previous Q&A on Power 105 last week. Kim also revealed that there may have been salt from her 2013 Powerhouse performance with Kendrick Lamar, which was originally intended to be a set with K. Michelle.
The shade continued when Nicki Minaj’s name was brought into the fold and Lil’ Kim claimed to be the victim of attack on the “Flawless” remix.
“She made the first record towards me,” said Kim. “If you listen to that remix, she been waiting for so long to even say the word “Queen Bee” cause that’s how obsessed she is. C’mon you on a record with beyonce. If I had a record with Beyonce, I’m not sayin’ nothing remotely so this chick think that I’m talkin’ about her.”
When Charlamagne pointed out that “Queen Bee” was probably in reference to Bey, Lil’ Kim said, “C’mon, let’s be real.” Watch the fire conversation where she discusses Young Money allegedly stealing music from and Fendi (Minaj’s former biz partner) makes an appearance above.
