The latest from the NFL’s ongoing struggle season of 2014 took place this week with Adrian Peterson being denied reinstatement to the league this year. Rodger Goodell, the NFL commissioner, cited lack of remorse from Peterson as a main reason why he was denied a return to the league this season. Snow fall in the Northeast caused all kinds of havoc. The Niagara University Women’s basketball team was stranded in a blizzard for more than 24 hours. After playing a road game in Pittsburgh, the team was retuning back to New York when they were stopped by snowfall at around 2 a.m. Purple Eagles coach Kendra Faustin, who had her 1-year-old son on board, said the team survived off of granola bars, pretzels and made drinking water from the snow. With snow reaching depths of seven feet, the NFL had to move its New York Jets at Buffalo Bills game scheduled for this Sunday to Monday in Detroit. [ABC News]
