Just when it seemed NFL public relations problems were kind of dying down, things got awkward, unfortunate and down-right disrespectful on social media for the New England Patriots. After an automated mishap, the storied NFL franchise’s twitter page gave a shout-out to its fans that helped the team become the first in the NFL with a million followers. Any fan that tweeted a special link would get a jersey with their twitter name on the back of the jersey. One such follower happened to be… @IHATENIGGERSS. To the teams credit the tweet was removed and followed up with an apology. [TD Daily] Twitter trolls just never seem to know any chill. That is until an NFL player actually responds and calls them out. Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall offered a fan 25 stacks to step into the ring with him, after the fan went hard to troll him on both twitter and Instagram. For his efforts, Marshall first offered him $5K to go a few rounds and even promised an additional $5K if the twitter follower somehow won the match. Expecting Marshall to back down, the troll of then asked to bump it up to $25K. To which the five-time Pro Bowler gladly agreed on the stipulation that the disgruntled fan apologize for talking ish about his momma. Instead of copping a real plea, the fan agreed to go toe-to-toe with Marshall if the Bears win three more games this season. Twenty-five stacks is a lot of money, but we’re not sure its worth catching the fade of life from a football player. We’ll let you know if it actually goes down.[Complex] NBA legend Charles Barkley has never been one to shy away from controversy. After his comments regarding the Black Community, he focused in again on NBA players. First, he was mentioned by emerging NBA star DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings in a Bleacher Report story where the young NBA player expressed some old issues with the veteran. Then Barkley went on the attack of Derrick Rose, saying the Bulls comments about preserving his body for life after hoops were “stupid.” //www.youtube.com/embed/BkT8cOrs1sE?rel=0 However, it wasn’t all team Sadboyz for Chuck this week. As per usual, Shaq had some fun at the expense of the fellow top 50 greatest player of all-time with his ode to Kim Kardashian’s Paper Magazine shoot. Kim broke the internet and Shaq thinks Barkley can too.
