From a 40-foot tall beer bottle and a giant, blue Jenga tower to the high-energy performances from fan favories in the EDM and hip-hop space, the fun-induced hangover from Bud Light’s Whatever, USA, in California’s Catalina Island was hard to shake.
This year, Anheuser-Busch’s classic brand selected 1,365 Bud Light enthusiasts to experience the most random adventure on the Left Coast. The three-day, action-packed weekend included over 55 #UpForWhatever events including yoga on the beach, learning sign language to a hike with Big Foot (yeah, Big Foot).
VIBE had a chance to pack their bags and hitch a flight and ferry to the second annual party town takeover. Here are the five most memorable moments from Bud Light’s #WhateverUSA.
1. T-Pain’s throwback sound trip
Following the colorful and costume-filled Welcome Parade, hip-hop’s fav AutoTuner T-Pain took to the stage for a party-perfect set full of throwback jams and remixes like “Bartender,” “I’m Sprung,” “Buy U a Drank,” “Up Down” and “Kiss Kiss.” Not only was was his catalog turnt, his pop lockin’ and robotic dancing had the crowd moving, too.
2. Seeing signs with Amber Galloway
Popular for her win on Jimmy Kimmels “Rap Sign Language Challenge,” hip-hop sign linguist Amber Galloway held it down on stage and kept up with the best of them, especially during T-Pain’s performance of “U and Dat.”

3. Snoop Dogg on a California roll
Ain’t no party like a West Coast party, especially when Snoop Dogg is the house. After he and his posse rolled through the streets of Whatever, USA on a pimped out bike and dishing out Snoop (hot) dogs, the OG rap star had the crowd waving their hands from side to side by performing his finest including “Gin and Juice,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “I Wanna Rock,” “The Next Episode” and his latest Bush hit, “California Roll.”

4. Diplo brings down the house
What DJ has hopping squids, a dancing dragon and stilt walkers in his set? The one and only EDM gawd, Diplo. Beats were thumping all night into the early morning with electronic dance-fused jams as each attendee rocked glow-in-the-dark necklaces and wrist bands, lighting up hit show, literally.

5. Lil Jon as the Ambassador of Whatever
If you strolled through the pier and grabbed a free sweet treat from Big Olaf’s Ice Cream Shop during #WhateverUSA weekend, chances are you ran into Lil Jon. Making his second appearance at #WhateverUSA, the “YEAH!” man picked on some cotton candy while donning a golden crown. He also hosted the #WhateverUSA graduation, adding his extra flair to the ceremony with a performance of the always appropriate life anthem, “Turn Down For What.”
