You know what they say: behind every great woman is herself. But for Angie Martinez, veteran hip-hop radio personality, that is no longer the case. According to Latina mag, someone put a ring on the Voice of New York.

When asked what she thinks is the best thing about being a single gal, Angie admitted to her recent attachment. “I have to tell you something,” she began. “I’m not single anymore and it’s fairly new but I was single for a long time in NYC.”
Despite being forthcoming about no longer living la vida loca, her response is still an evasive one and doesn’t shed light on the terms of her new relationship. Yet, engaged or not, Angie makes clear she doesn’t need a man to make her happy.

“There is certain support that you get from other single women and honestly, you don’t need a man to be happy,” she added. “You could be perfectly happy in your life and great relationships and friendships and fun. If you’re young and you’re still exploring the world, you kind of should be single, so you could figure out who you are all the way first and mess up every now and then and do dumb things.”
