Remezcla has been recruited by Apple Music as the first curators to represent Latin America. The booming, Latin media outlet has been known for reporting on the biggest stories in Latin culture, music and news since 2008. After Apple launched its world-renowned music streaming service, Remezcla is tasked with hand-picking brand new, extensive playlists, which will be heard across the globe.

“We’re excited to announce that Remezcla is the newest of these IRL Curation Partners,” said the good folks over at the site. “We’re the first post-launch partner, and the only partner for Latin America, which means our playlists will be available in more than 20 countries.”
Remezcla will kick things off by exploring Austin, Texas’ underground scene with the Peligrosa Collective, who will offer a series of playlists called Mi Barrio. Remezcla will also provide some nifty “Before You Go” listening tips for Colombia’s Hermoso Ruido Festival, hook you with an army of Latina artists and feature an exclusive playlist curated by digital cumbia artists, The Frikstailers. Last but not least, Remezcla will also take listeners on a nostalgic journey through the OG sounds of Reggaeton.
