Last year, we helped introduce the latest Puerto Rican to enter the rap game, Audri Nix. After making her opening statement in “1,000 MPH,” the doe-eyed spitter followed up with “Veneno,” an unapologetic, quick-rhyming ode to scandalmongers. Yes, the girl has bars.
Between earning a degree and working at Nordstrom, Audri had been tirelessly laying down the tracks that would make up her newly-released, debut EP El Nuevo Orden Vol. 1. “Working, studying and doing music all together can feel insane,” she said to us back in November, before admitting depression had effectively crept into her life.

The 20-something fought her demons while attempting to maintain equilibrium. The results? A collection of moody, R&B songs complete with haunting production by Overlord. “I want to talk about that sort of thing in my music, so that my fans know that they are not alone,” she added.
