Daddy Yankee’s stardom knows no bounds after more than two decades in the music industry.
Lending his celebrity to Allstate’s “Estar En Buenas Manos Nos Da Más (It’s Good To Be In Good Hands)” campaign, the reggaeton king is officially the car insurance company’s first pop artist ambassador according to Billboard. “We wanted to leverage someone who was really well known and who really transcended all Hispanic cultures,” said Georgina Flores, Allstate’s Vice President of Product Marketing. “He really was our first choice.”
In the effort to translate in the Latino market, Allstate believed that the “Shaky Shaky” artist exemplified international influence. “We wanted younger, yes, but also broader,” Flores continued. “We wanted to make sure that the artist and his or her music would be popular regardless of precedence.”
