Following the wildly successful remix of “Despacito,” which features Justin Bieber (we know he initiated the move, but was it his idea to sing in Spanish as well?), Luis Fonsi takes The Voice stage alongside Daddy Yankee and Mark Isaiah for a live rendition of their No. 1 hit.
After a rousing set during the finale of the competition (above), Fonsi – already a successful recording artist in Latino America – expressed his desire for fans across all borders to lend a keen ear to the rest of his discography.
“It’s very important for people to hear where my music is going in general, not just with one song,” Fonsi told E! News. “I want people to get where my head is at musically speaking, it’s a great album with very talented musicians. I’m really excited to be able to share this with everyone.”
Expect the Puerto Rican singer to release a new album before the end of 2017.
