Legendary salsa label Fania Records is fortifying over 50 years in music with a club and pop-up store relaunch of their ARMADA FANIA live music series at the Knockdown Center in Queens.
Co-presented by the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, the six-hour event will bring acts like Nina Sky, José Marquez and Uproot Andy together under headliner Kenny Dope on Nov. 10. Visual artist Carlos Rolón/Dzine will also honor Fania with a special installation inspired by their trailblazing history, which brought us the likes of Celia Cruz, Héctor Lavoe and Bobby Valentín.
Exclusive merchandise, including vinyl and apparel, will be available for purchase during the occasion, which is set to expand at L.A.’s Los Globos on Dec. 10.
Until then, New Yorkers and east coast fans can buy tickets for the kick off here.
