
Gina Brillon is ready for her spotlight as the star of an upcoming CBS sitcom, which promises to bring a dose of the Nuyorican experience to the small screen.
The first and only Latina to win NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity showcase, the Bronx native solidified her presence in the world of comedy with her debut one-hour special Pacifically Speaking on NuvoTV in 2014.
Now, after making several guest appearances on CBS’ Kevin Can Wait this year, congratulations are definitely in order for Brillon who reportedly impressed Kevin James so much that the King of Queens alumnus decided to give her a shot on primetime television.
According to Deadline, the comedy, executive-produced by James, will follow Gina after she leaves The Bronx to pursue her dreams in Manhattan following the sudden end of a seven-year relationship. Until the series makes its debut, get acquainted with the comedian below:
