The cast of Hamilton is standing in solidarity with Hillary Clinton for the 2016 presidential elections, and in honor of the Democratic nominee, the Tony award winning Broadway show will host a fundraiser with an additional performance July 12.
The event, which is titled, “Hamilton: An American Musical with special guest Hillary Rodham Clinton,” will offer guests the chance to see a matinee showing in Clinton’s honor, as well as premium seats to the wrap party with Clinton and special guests, and an invitation to the Democratic National Convention, according the Hillary Clinton’s official website. But these luxuries won’t come without a hefty price.
The original Hamilton show has been sold out for months and set ticket holder back a pretty penny. However, general admission tickets for the Clinton fundraising event start at $2,700 and peak as high as $100,000.
The special matinee viewing has been added onto Hamilton’s regular slate of eight shows. Unfortunately, Hamilton’s creator and star, Lin-Manueal Miranda and co-stars, Leslie Odom Jr. and Phillipa Soo are not expected to perform in the fundraiser show, as they have previously announced there final performance will be July 9.
