
The ongoing conversation of #IndigenousPeoplesDay is beginning to spread like wildfire, helping put end to the distorted narrative of “Columbus Day.”
Since 2015 36 jurisdictions have started celebrating #IndigenousPeoplesDay. In an interview with CNN, Dr. Leo Killsback, a citizen of the Northern Cheyenne Nation and assistant professor of American Indian Studies at Arizona State University, states that “Indigenous Peoples Day is a shift in consciousness.”
