Jennifer Lopez is here to challenge the male status quo and let the fellas know what it is with the new visuals for her song “Ain’t Your Mama.”
In a series of different time periods that span from the 1950s to the 1980s you’ll see her as a housewife, secretary and industrial factory worker—as she culminates to an executive position causing havoc in a room full of men. Lastly, in real time, she calls out a slew of young women to march down with her in the fight for gender equality; while reminding them that they shouldn’t succumb to doing everything for the men in their lives.
Like many other women who have showcased their plight in gender inequality through art, Ms. Lopez is definitely making a statement.
