JoJo couldn’t help but honor Selena Quintanilla-Perez while hosting an intimate performance in the late singer’s hometown of Corpus Christi.
“I had the pleasure of seeing the Selena statue, paying respect, and I’m just reminded of the amazing, amazing contribution she made to music, and how her spirit is still with us today,” she told the crowd at Brewster Street Icehouse on Monday (Oct. 24). “I just wanted to pay homage and do ‘Dreaming Of You’ tonight. I hope I do it justice.”
Like Adrienne Bailon and Keke Palmer, the Mad Love artist is just one of many who stands as a testament to the Queen of Tejano’s ever felt legacy more than 21 years after her tragic death.
