Lauren Jauregui, arguably the most outspoken member of Fifth Harmony, was reportedly arrested Tuesday night (Dec.13). According to TMZ, the singer was at Dulles Airport when a TSA employee found marijuana in her carryon luggage. The 20-year-old musician was planning to fly to São Paulo to perform with her group at the VEVO FunPopFun Festival on (Dec. 14).
Dina LaPolt, Fifth Harmony’s lawyer, told US Weekly that the singer was not actually arrested and the incident wouldn’t hinder the singer from future performances. Lapolt explained, “Lauren Jauregui was not arrested and detained as reported, but simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance. She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system. This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities.”
Despite Lapolt saying Jauregui wouldn’t miss any performances, she was absent from the VEVO FunPopFun Festival. The four musicians went on to perform without their fifth member as the show must go on. A fan recorded a snippet of the show which proved the absence of their fifth member.

Jauregui has been the subject of conversation from her announcement about her sexual preference to her getting candid with Trump supporters. Ironically, the girls stated while playing “Who Would Likely” that Jauregui would be the member to most likely get arrested.
The “Worth It” singer has built up quite the fanbase for herself. Stars like Jojo and others were tweeting out for the “Work From Home” singer (below). Hopefully, Jauregui will rightfully take her spot back on stage as the group is also scheduled to appear at Power 96.1’s Jingle Ball at Philips Arena in Atlanta on Friday (Dec. 15).

The energy spent to lock up people for weed vs real criminals is crazy. Def need to smoke one with @LaurenJauregui one day. #FreeLauren
