Lynda Carter, better known as the OG Wonder Woman, is back. The 1970s hit television show star is now set to play POTUS in the second season of Supergirl, opposite of former Glee star, Melissa Benoist.
According to Deadline, it has been rumored that the 64-year-old actress has had her eye on the role for quite some time now.
Aside from playing the leader of the free world in the upcoming season, Carter has also starred in The Muppet Show, Partners in Crime, Two and a Half Men and the London West End production of Chicago. The accomplished (and stunningly beautiful) actress has also released three studio albums, including Portrait, At Last and Crazy Little Things.
Supergirl, an American superhero fiction television series based on the DC Comics Supergirl, is also the biological cousin to Superman, and one of the last surviving Kryptonians. The show premiered on CBS last October, and was successfully renewed for a second season.
Tune in this coming October for the Season 2 premiere of Supergirl.
