Watch out, it looks like there’s another future Obama leader in the making! Malia Obama, the eldest daughter of the First Family, has recently graduated from the Sidwell Friends School, and will now be spreading her wings and soaring across The Pond. According to ABC España, the 18-year-old will be leaving her parents for the first time and spending her summer interning at the U.S. Embassy in Spain.
POTUS has maintained a close connection with the U.S. ambassador of Madrid, James Costos, after his donations and support during the President’s reelection campaign in 2012. Smith was also commissioned to redecorate various rooms of the White House for Mr. Obama himself.
No matter if Malia landed this opportunity on her own or with the assistance of father, she has definitely proven herself to be a capitana in her own right. On the Obamas’ historical trip to Cuba Malia showed signs of a future leader, serving as an unofficial translator for her father.
The future looks bright for young Malia. In the words of the Puerto Rican people: !Pa’lante!
