Narcos, the acclaimed Netflix drama about infamous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, drew significant coverage in the mainstream media when Roberto Escobar, Pablo’s brother, wanted to review the show’s second season to determine if the show was historically accurate. However, it looks like the famed kingpin’s life story has not been dramatically altered for the sake of the television viewer. The trailer for the second season of Narcos premiered online Tuesday (Aug. 23) and finds its main character as a wanted man by both law enforcement and the Cali Cartel.
For those eager to catch up on their binge watching, the second season of Narcos finds Pablo Escobar on the run from the Colombian authorities after his escape from prison. The trailer opens with deluge of news anchors breaking Escobar’s prison escape. From there, a manhunt ensues for the drug kingpin on all fronts, from law enforcement to Los Pepes, a vigilante group comprised of enemies of Pablo Escobar.
