It’s kind of hard to imagine Full House‘s Kimmy Gibbler as a mom, much less one to a blossoming teenaged girl. Yet, when the series sequel Fuller House premiered in late February, we were introduced to a whole new generation of rugrats at the Tanner residence, including Ramona Gibbler, a bi-cultural Latina.
Kimmy’s on-screen daughter is played by Soni Bringas, who fully embraces her Argentinian heritage despite being half white. So in tuned is Ramona with her Latina side that she even considers living in the “whitest house in America” painfully underwhelming. And like any other millennial teenybopper, her interests lie in social media, fashion, boys and, of course, being hip.
Bringas, much like her on-screen character, doesn’t have to try too hard to be cool. On set, she’s the anti-Gibbler – smart and sassy. Off set, Bringas is an actress on the rise (Jane the Virgin, Beautiful & Twisted) and an Internet sensation thanks to her killer dance moves. Catch her #Formation below (2:48)!
