Months after Dominican heartthrob and beloved bachatero Romeo Santos is named CEO of Roc Nation Latin, fellow Dominican singer and American Idol alum Karen Rodriguez is added to the label’s growing roster.
“So happy to share that @karenrodriguezofficial has officially signed with #RocNationLatin!” writes manager Max Clayman via Instagram. “Thank you to@romeosantos @johnnymarines & @yvettemedina_ for this amazing opportunity and partnership! Now the real work begins!”
Karen Rodriguez, who first wowed audiences around the nation with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “You Give Good Love” during American Idol’s audition process and, later, won over our hearts with covers like Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” also took to social media today to confirm the good news.
“My dream of being a recording artist has come true, and I’m so happy that this amazing moment has been captured forever! So many important people in my life all in one room!” she adds. “Special shout out to everyone I met from the @RocNation staff – I can’t wait to get to work!!”
Congrats to all parties involved. We can’t wait to see what Karen has in store.
