Devious Maids star and former beauty queen Roselyn Sanchez is the latest Latin celeb to speak out in protest following Trump’s anti-immigrant tirade.
“I was very excited and proud to have been invited to participate in Miss USA, but as a Latina, that is now inconceivable,” Sanchez said in a statement. “Although I am not Mexican, I am Puerto Rican and a proud Latina, and his comments were an insult to our culture. I won’t sponsor anything produced by Donald Trump.”

In his pompous speech, which doubled as a presidential campaign announcement, Trump referred to Mexican and Latin American immigrants as criminals and rapists. And Sanchez, who was slated to co-host the Spanish-language telecast of Miss USA with actor Christian De La Fuente, tapped out quicker than Diego Corrales did in a fight against Floyd Mayweather.
Sanchez now stands in solidarity with the likes of reggaeton superstar J Balvin and Maná lead singer Fher Olevar, who bowed out of performing at the annual pageant and likened him to Hitler, respectively. Not to mention, Univision completely severed ties with the billionaire tycoon, refusing to air this year’s spectacle. Ouch.
