After pouring herself into a new album and sharing with the world her most vulnerable music yet, Selena Gomez is revived and stronger for it. Back like she never left, the “Good for You” singer is operating from within a space of total honesty and openness. After opening up about being diagnosed with lupus and undergoing chemotherapy, she sits down with Pride Source to address rumors that say she’s a lesbian after hooking up with Cara Delevingne, who is openly bisexual.
On rumors about hooking up with Delevingne:
“Honestly, I loved it. I didn’t mind it. Especially because they weren’t talking about other people in my life for once, which was wonderful. Honestly, though, she’s incredible and very open and she just makes me open. She’s so fun and she’s just extremely adventurous, and sometimes I just want that in my life, so I didn’t mind it. I loved it.”

On questioning her sexuality:

On being raised Catholic and supporting LGBT community:
“Look: There’s a huge difference in how I was brought up; the word “religion” is a very complex thing. It’s something you have to follow, and that’s not what faith is. Anybody who has a higher power, anybody who has anything they believe in: If you don’t know how to love other people, I don’t believe in it. It doesn’t work that way.”
