The classic ’70s sitcom will be getting rebooted as a Netflix original, with their own spin on the once living room staple. One Day at a Time broke down barriers in television, focusing on an all-female household. The trailer for the spectacle starring Rita Moreno is finally here, and the entire first season will make its way to Netflix on January 6th, 2017.

The remake of Norman Lear’s 1970s sitcom stars Rita Moreno, Justina Machado and was written by Gloria Calderon Kellett, who has production credits on popular shows like How I Met Your Mother and Drunk History. Netflix and the Sony production house are making the family Cuban-American, while casting Rita Moreno as a Cuban-born abuela helping her daughter raise a terror of a teen daughter and clever son.
