A BIG congratulations is in order to NBA baller Matt Barnes and reality starlet Gloria Govan for tying the knot in pure secrecy. According to a sighting by the Las Vegas Journal Review and Necole Bitchie, the newlywed couple eloped in Las Vegas after a rocky on-and-off relationship at the historic Little Church of The West Sunday (Sept. 24). They were in town for Gloria’s sister and Basketball Wives: LA co-star Laura Govan‘s birthday.
The seemingly sporadic nuptials had us pondering which other twosomes should just race down the aisle and say “I Do” for goodness sakes! Here are four other pairs who need to put a wedding band on it…STAT.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Patience is a virtue, but even their six international children are hoping mommy Angie and daddy Brad will get to marrying. Though these two announced their engagement in April, the hot Hollywood couple have been cuffed since 2005. When reporters asked Brad of their wedding plans earlier this month at an intimate screening of his new film Killing Them Softly, he said, “No plans yet. Other than, we’re gonna do it.”
Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose
Now that a “wizbud” is in Amber’s oven, the two need to make haste on their marriage plans. Sure, it’s a question of when, not if, but the Taylor Gang lovebirds don’t need to wait till Amber actually grows long hair to wed.
…Oh wait. She technically is married, just not to him. While Kimmy is still legally tied to estranged husband and Brooklyn Nets player Kris Humphries, the longterm friendship she and the Watch The Throne rapper had pre-cuffing already means wedding bells are in their future. I mean, he did rearrange her wardrobe and is planning to shell out a million Presidents for her born day bash. If that doesn’t say married couple, what does?
With a long-running relationship that extended far beyond a season of Love & Hip-Hop, it’s time for Em and Fab to throw that groom tuxedo and wedding gown in the bag. No question that they’re movements by themselves, but as the parents of two children and enough dough to share, they’d be a force as a wedded pair together.
