It’s apparent that to be a cast member of the Real Housewives series you don’t actually have to be a “housewife.” As previously reported, Sheree Whitfield will not return for the 5th season, so we have to wonder: who will Bravo find to replace her character on the show?
Atlanta is the home of many successful artists, entrepreneurs and entertainers and is known for harboring those that are considered to be “new money.” With that said, finding a replacement shouldn’t be too hard. Here are four candidates Vixen thinks would make a perfect fit for the cast…
Keisha Knight Pulliam
Keisha is a veteran in the Hollywood scene. We all know her as Rudy from The Cosby Show, but in recent years, she’s appeared in Beauty Shop, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Madea Goes to Jail. Last year she was nominated for a NAACP Award for best supporting actress on House of Payne, and recently, she was spotted hosting a charity event in Atlant–which helped to raise money for AIDS treatment and food for children in African countries–with Ne-Yo’s main squeeze, Monyetta Shaw.
Although she stays clear of any negative press, we would love to get a glimps of her personal life, i.e., who she’s dating and what moves she’s making in the acting world. She recently made a cameo on an episode of RHOA as she was seen chatting it up with NeNe, so the transition would be smooth.
Monyetta Shaw
We know her as the mother of two and the girlfriend of R&B heavyweight Ne-Yo. In addition to being Ne-Yo’s main squeeze, Monyetta has had cameo’s in Soul Men and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. She also co-owns a boutique in Atlanta called Emerlyn & Ester. Recent rumors circulated that Monyetta was to be considered for the RHOA cast but nothing had been confirmed by Bravo. Who wouldn’t want to see Monyetta and Ne-Yo and their growing babe interact on a more personal level?
Marlo Hampton
Natrually, we expect Bravo to transition Marlo’s occasional appearances to a more constant role on the show. She already has beef with several cast members, and we all know the drama surrounding her character makes for good reality TV…and we want to know more! How does she get the money to fund her lavish lifestyle and will her friendship with Nene Leakes last?
Toya Wright
Toya is no stranger to reality TV. She co-starred in Tiny and Toya with T.I.’s wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and after that stint ended, she starred in her own reality show spin-off Toya: A Family Affair, both of which aired on BET. Determined to make a name for herself, she became a New York Times bestselling author and is the face of Ampro hair products, a venture she shares with her husband music producer Mickey “Memphitz” Wright. Toya is said to be friends with current cast members Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks, and it was recently reported that Bravo was considering her to be a candidate for the show. Her calm and collected disposition could be just what the RHOA cast needs to balance out all the drama.
