Vanessa has finally jumped ship after Kobe Bryant has reportedly been with multiple women. Honestly, we can’t really blame her. With her soon-to-be newfound freedom and single motherhood, we pose the suggestion that she joins the Basketball Wives franchise. We know, we know… You might think she’s above all that, but read and learn. She may be just what the basketball wives of LA need for an even better future season…
1. She’s one of the few who was actually the publicly claimed wife of a basketball player.
The divorce proves that it was legal. The former Mrs. Bryant (by the time she’d be on the show, of course) would join the ranks of Shaunie O’Neal, Jennifer Williams, Jackie Christie, Malaysia Pargo, Tami Roman, Meeka Claxton and Tanya Williams, the real wives of the franchise.
2. There’s an interesting story line there.
With the cameras rolling, Vanessa would most likely open up about that 2003 rape charge Kobe caught, as well as other happenings of their very private relationship. Groupies revealed, arguments unveiled, her side of their West Coast story. Wouldn’t you like to peep a few chapters from the Book of Kobe and Vanessa? We sure would.
3. She will stunt.
Don’t lie. You know you want to see how Vanessa is living. The fact that Kobe dropped $4 million on an 8-carat purple diamond as an “apology” means Vanessa is no stranger to high-class. Evelyn think Ochocinco buys her gifts? She should compare price tags with Kobe’s soon-to-be ex first. And just imagine who Queen V knows. Her circle would trump the other girls’ circle every time.
4. Meet the children.
Kobe and Vanessa’s daughter Natalia and Gianna didn’t receive much attention from the media. Outside of a few on-the-court moments after a winning game, the daughters are virtually unknown. It wouldn’t hurt for the public to get to know them. As well, we’d get to see how Vanessa plays a doting mommy!
5. The LA wives need some flair.
Last season sparked a couple heated debates and ending off way better than it started. However, throwing Vanessa into the fire should cause an explosion. Not only will she be the most legit wife on the show, the dynamic between her and the catty crew will be interesting. Think she’ll hold her tongue against “groupie” Draya? Will she blab a few rumors over lunch dates? Hmm… We expect great television moments if V. Bryant ever makes her reality debut!
