Every relationship starts off as lovely as a tropical honeymoon. In its peak, your beau is able to make your heart flutter with the simplest of actions. The influx of sweet text messages, the occasional “just because” flowers and phone conversations until the wee hours of the morning all indicate that he loves you.
But after a few years, these sweet nothings suddenly start to fade. His work hours are longer and instead of hanging out with you to catch a new movie, he’s spending more time with old friends. As much as any woman would try to silence her intuition, you can’t help but think that your man might be finding love elsewhere.

1. He takes phone calls in another room
In any relationship there is a need for privacy. But, if you’re noticing that secret phone calls are occurring more frequently and a certain name keeps popping up on his screen, this should raise a red flag, especially if the name is that of an ex-girlfriend. Note: Don’t jump to conclusions unless you have solid proof.
Your man has always had good work ethic and it’s one of the reasons you admire him. But, now he’s spending later nights and going in at odd hours.
When you call his phone, he quickly rushes you off and says he’s busy with his workload. Although in this economic climate work hours are becoming more demanding, a cheating man will find this as a solid cover-up for his infidelity.
As his girlfriend of a few years you know who your man does and doesn’t hang out with. He is known to kick it with his old college buddies, but seldom with his creepy roommate from freshman year.
Recently, he’s been mentioning he’s going out for a drink with that roommate and even other guys he never liked before. Be wary of these “new” friends he’s mentioning, as it is highly unlikely they have rekindled a friendship that was virtually non-existent.
If his cologne has switched from his daily norm to something slightly fancier, this can be a clear indication that your man is having an affair.
5. He doesn’t show affection
At the start of your relationship, you and your boo couldn’t keep your hands to yourselves.
The sweet pecks and constant hugging has stopped and you notice that his touch is stoic and feels forced. This is the ultimate indication that he may be looking for love outside the relationship.
