Mona Scott’s new VH1 reality show The Gossip Game looks very promising, but we hope it’s not another soap opera. These seven talented women have a lot more to offer the public than wine throwing and man stealing. Here are five things we want to see on the shows April 1st premiere.
1. Success
If you’ve ever wondered what the reality stars did for a living before the cameras started rolling, you’re not alone. Since TGG isn’t about real housewives or rappers’ girlfriends, we expect to see Angela Yee behind the scenes at Power 105.1 and Kim Osorio behind her desk at The Source‘s office. Leave the endless scenes of brunches and after work drinks for the lame shows.
2. The Balancing Act
It’s not easy being a working woman, wife and all around maven. It would be interesting to get an inside look at how these women balance their personal and professional lives.
3. Camaraderie
Kim may be the best example of how being a woman can help (or hurt) your success the music business. We hope to see an honest look of the advantages and pitfalls of being a woman in a sea of men and how women should help each other instead of dragging each other down.
4. Amazing Hair and Makeup
This is a reality show, bring on the glitz and glamour. Appearance is everything in the music industry, and we must see Angela’s hot shoe collection and Sharon Carpenter’s fashion styles.
5. Hot Industry Events
The best part of working in the music business are the hot ticket events. We want to watch these women network and get the dish from movers and shakers within the industry.
