This weekend’s episodes of Iyanla: Fix My Life with Evelyn Lozada humanized the reality star and enabled us to sympathize with her. Iyanla effectively delved into Lozada’s life and encouraged us to think about other celeb’s lives she could fix. Here’s a list of fame monsters that could use a tune-up for their lives.
It seems that Chris Brown will never escape that winter night in 2009 with Rihanna. I’m no psychologist, but it seems that he’s not over it either. Although it seems Rihanna has forgiven him, it appears he can’t forgive himself and the public can’t either. He admitted that he witnessed his stepfather beat his mother, and he is more than likely dealing with more troubling issues in addition to the violent situation with his ex-girlfriend. From his tantrum at Good Morning America with Robin Roberts to someone putting warning stickers on his latest Fortune album, this man needs a mental break!
We witnessed Joseline Hernandez be mentally abused by her lover, Stevie J. Although many women loved to hate her because she chose to be the other woman, deep down we saw an emotionally abused woman looking for love in the wrong places. On the confessional of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, she explained how she raised herself and her mother basically used her for money. Instead of judging her lifestyle, someone should help her. Joseline has the potential to be an amazing woman if she gets the help she deserves.
Lindsay Lohan is consistently in and out of the courtroom for drunk driving and stealing. Her parents do not make the situation any better because they are on their own quest for fame. It would be great if Iyanla could sit the whole family down and hold them accountable.
Mimi Faust may have a successful business and may not have many charges on her record (she has a mugshot floating the net for domestic violence), but someone needs to explore why she stays with Stevie J despite his infidelity. Is it the D, or the fact that she wants to stay with a man that disrespects her for the sake of her daughter? Again, I’m no psychologist, but I think Mimi may need to fill the void she’s longing to provide for her baby.
Lauryn Hill is a mystery. Between showing up extremely late to concerts, owing over $400,000 in taxes, lying about her marriage to Rohan Marley and about her son’s paternity to Wyclef. Lauryn has disappeared from the music scene, but she consistently gets negative press. This woman needs help, if not for her career, for her children.
Kanye West doesn’t care for the media, but he could definitely use some help from Iyanla. It’s obvious that some of the decisions Yeezy has made have been a result of not seeking help for the loss of his mother. It appears that Kim Kardashian has provided Ye with a little stability; however, it would be a good look for Kanye to explore his actions a little deeper with a life coach.
Remember Maia Campbell? She’s the beautiful actress best known for her role as Tiffany on the 90’s show In the House. Campbell has been to hell and back, struggling with a crack addiction and prostitution. In a recent interview with Get Noticed Media, Maia discussed her new goals. Iyanla is the perfect person to fix her life as she revisits the entertainment industry.
