The sex of the baby is a secret.
“We know. We’re not sharing yet, but we’re super excited,” Keys laughed. The Harlem native dodged Wendy’s questions regarding the sex of the baby wittingly answering “Egypt is ready to be a big brother.”
She compares her relationship with husband, Swizz Beatz, to one of kindred spirits.

Alicia is co-founder of the Keep a Child Alive Charity.
“It’s a big deal for me. It’s like my child. It’s like my baby. It’s one of the first things I got involved with when I was only 21,” Alicia told Wendy. The singer is also a true renaissance woman as the charity provides the medicine for children and families with AIDS that can’t afford it.
Having more kids isn’t necessarily on her radar right now.
“I’m not sure. We should probably get through this one first,” Alicia hesitantly laughed.

Alicia dished, “It’s about the kids, and so when everybody is able to be an adult, which we all are able to be, there’s actually a beautiful value about the way we can influence each other’s lives and the lives of the kids.”
Her new children’s book Blue Moon: From the Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee builds upon the important relationship between child, mother, and grandparent.
