Harlem native Azealia Banks stopped by Hot.97 Thursday (Dec. 18) to chop it up with Ebro and Peter Rosenberg about the misconceptions that surround her. The 23-year-old “212” spitter was all smiles donning purple hair as she spoke honestly about how she believes she’s perceived.
“Everyone’s got it all wrong,” Azealia Banks said. “I definitely have some really strong opinions and some really strong things to say about things, but I’m never trying to force my opinion.”
Azealia pulled no punches as she spoke of her disdain for Iggy Azalea’s New Classicrecord–which went onto earn four Grammy nods including Best Rap Album–along with Macklemore’s The Heist, which beat out Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m A.A.d city.
“The Grammys are supposed to be awards for artistic excellence… Iggy Azalea’s not excellent,” she said.
