On Tuesday (Apr. 2), BET introduced four new shows with its Upfront 2013 presentation.
The only new scripted show will be Being Mary Jane, a series about a successful news anchor (Gabrielle Union) who is trying to juggle relationships, work, and family. The three unscripted shows will be Burns BBQ that follows a long-standing family-owned barbecue business, T.D. Jakes Presents: Mind, Body & Soul, a Sunday talk show hosted by Jakes and returning favorite, Comic View.
Many celebrities came out to support the showcase, including various stars from their returning series.
