Cliff Huxtable is back in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Bill Cosby has kept his silence on his name in headlines again for rape allegations that spanned for more than three decades. Comedian Hannibal Buress referred to the legendary actor as a rapist in a video that went viral last week which prompted actress, Barbara Bowman to speak out about her account with the Daily Mail.
Bowman tells a detailed story on her experience with Bill Cosby, telling the Daily Mail, “I was drugged and raped by that man. He is a monster. He came at me like a monster. My hope is that others who have experienced sexual abuse will not be intimidated into silence by the famous, rich and powerful. If I can help one victim, then I’ve done my job.”
“I’ve been silent too long. It’s time to raise a fuss. I’m a real person that this happened to. And it’s taken decades to get over what he did to me.[…]I thank Hannibal Burress for speaking out over and over again, despite the threats from the Industry that it could ruin his career. He is standing up for me and the other women who are too afraid to speak out.”
Cosby settled a civil lawsuit back in 2006 with Andrea Constand, a former employee of Temple University who said the actor drugged and rapes her two years prior. A total of thirteen women came forward to serve as witnesses for the case and shared testimony of sexual assault at the hands of Cosby for a push in the world of acting.
Cosby was not charged due to the expiration on the statute of limitations on their charges but Bill Cosby can’t seem to hide from what seems to be a scary and sad reality that was bought back to light when Buress spoke out about it again.
