Blue Ivy steals the show…again.
If you remember (like you could forget) Yoncé turned the VMAs into the BeyMAs with her 15-minute set before her hubby (Jay Z) and daughter (Blue Ivy) awarded her with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. However, before her music medley at the VMAs slayed the audience and snatched edges from the viewers at home, she had much preparation and in classic Bey style, it was something serious.
Posting to her Youtube today, Bey took us to the very beginning of her journey into the Forum in LA. She gives us a quick glimpse of the costumes, dancing, and stage prep that they went through. The video revealed that they had one run-through, the stage wasn’t ready nor sturdy, and her “Mine” dancers needed to be all-white, with one make-up artist, an hour before they hit the stage.
After showing us snippets of her epic ensemble that will be revered for years to come she showered us with Carter love. In which her scene stealer, Blue, hits us with the adorable one-liner.
“Everybody said good job!” is nearly the last sound you hear in Beyonce’s behind-the-scenes of her VMA performance, but it’s what matters the most. The petite sound comes from her pint-sized 2-year-old Blue Ivy—her most prized possession.
Press play to relish in her amazingness once more.
