In December, Rihanna is having her first annual Diamond Ball in L.A. and she’s starting her charity fundraiser off with an a-lister bang.
The Bajan beauty snagged Brad Pitt and Jimmy Kimmel to help get the night’s festivities rolling. Kimmel will host the soiree and the Oscar-winning actor will introduce the singer at the gala. Her inaugural ball is to raise money for her Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF). Named after her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Brathwaite, the CLF “works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture.”
“It is such an honor to have Jimmy Kimmel host this event. There is no one more hilarious to make the first annual Diamond Ball an incredible night. I’m blessed by his support,” Rih Rih said about Brad Pitt and Jimmy Kimmel in a statement. “Brad Pitt is not only a phenomenal talent, but I admire him and am inspired by his philanthropic work.”
The Diamond Ball’s proceeds with help finance the $2.4 million improvement initiative for the Clara Brathwaite Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados. She helped create the center after watching her grandmother battle cancer. The event will take place on Dec. 11 and 600 guest are expected to attend her Beverly Hills event.
