Singer/rapper Cee-Lo Green found himself in hot water after he took to his Twitter to school his followers on what constitutes rape. While responding to fans he posted “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!” and “If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent.”
Coming to his senses over his insensitive tweets, the Goodie Mob rep took to his Twitter once again last night to retract his statements and issue an apology.
I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe.

After admission, which insinuates that he is not the one who sent the tweets out, the former The Voice judge deleted his account and reactivated it again for some reason.
Rape is a touchy subject, especially for Cee-Lo who was accused of it in 2012 after a 33-year-old woman said she woke up in his bed but did not remember how she got there. He was also accused of giving the woman Ecstasy. Fortunately for him, the sexual assault charge was later dropped after it was decided that there was not enough evidence to take it to court.
