After 20 years of marriage Pat and Gina Neely are heading to divorce court. Known for their Food Network show, Down Home With the Neelys, they cited “irreconcilable differences,” but all we’re hearing is “reality TV curse.”
Being married is hard enough but being a celebrity couple is nearly impossible so you can imagine what it’s like with 24/7 cameras. Although their show focused on their cooking rather than their relationship, having to keep a happy composure when they were far from happy in the six years they’ve been taping helped bring these high school sweethearts to their breaking point.
In an official statement the couple wrote, “This was a tough decision, but we believe it is the best decision for us. Moving forward our focus will be on our individual brands and we are optimistic about our respective futures.”
