Controversial and private stars are the ones who are the most intriguing. With some, we’re forced to fantasize about what their life is like while with others, a Google search could bring up their latest shenanigans. But no matter how many interviews or Instagram posts we ogle over, the only thing that could bring a fan closest to a celebrity is an autobiographical account.
Flip through to see who’s life would make for a good read at some point during their career.

From a young age, the good kid has seen a lot, from people getting killed in front of him during elementary school years to having friends die in his arms as a teenager. He hasn’t been involved in too much controversy—except the “Control” frenzy he caused, that is—but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been involved in any in the small city of Compton. An autobiography could give more graphic and detailed accounts of the wrongdoings he was involved in while still dodging gang life and his family life (his family is filled with bloods and crips and most of his uncles are either dead or in jail, not to mention his comical father).

The actor turned rapper is sort of an enigma. Fans know a lot about Drake but they don’t at the same time. OVO’s own usually pours his feelings into the music, but imagine if he put it all and then some into a book. An autobiographical account of Drake could be more candid and compelling among other things.
P. Diddy
No matter how many name changes there are, there’s no denying that P. Diddy is a money making machine. He rose to prominence in front of our eyes, but a book could let readers in on his transition from the cocky intern at Uptown Records to the CEO and founder of the legendary Bad Boy Records who’s worth an estimated $700 million. Readers could also not only get to know Diddy as the business man, but as a family man and the lover as well (maybe).

It’s no secret that Chris Brown’s troubles have been just as noticeable as his talent. He’s been through a lot in and out of the public eye. An autobiography could give a full scope of what events and hard times have led up to him becoming the polarizing star who can’t seem to escape his troubles.

Some may be fed up with August Alsina’s attitude, but the 21-year-old crooner has an interesting back story. He suffered a lot of losses and hardships growing up in New Orleans that have made him into the no-nonsense man that he is today. As a teenager, he experienced homelessness, lost his brother to street violence, had his family ruined by drugs and then ended up selling those same drugs (crack cocaine) to get by. In a few years, his autobiographical account would be a best seller.

Fans would flock to Amazon and Barnes and Nobles if Bad Gal RiRi decided to pen an autobiography. The self-proclaimed good girl gone bad could talk about what it’s been like to become one of the most admired pop stars in music and fashion. Though she pours most of her life onto social media, fans would be intrigued to read about her most personal moments and about the hard times she has faced. She could also include how she overcame being a domestic violence victim and use her story for inspiration, which she rarely does.

After ElevatorGate, the people found out that Bey’s little sister Solange was about that life after she put hands (and feet!) on her brother-in-law Jay Z. Now that the people know that Solange plays no games, a book could give her a platform to tell her story and display more of her personality. People would most likely buy it to read what it was like for her growing up as Beyonce’s sibling, but don’t be fooled. Solange’s story could make a worthy page turner (she was a teen mom and divorcee’ by the age of 19).

Even though the Queensbridge MC plans to launch an autobiographical series on Xbox, it would still be great to read about his life on paper. Though Nas is known using his music as a canvas for his feelings, fans still wonder about his career and life in general. Like hearing what really led up to his beef from Jay Z from his point of view. Or did he see any red flags while he was dating Kelis but ignored them for the sake of their love?

The former Disney starlet took us all by surprise when she decided to revamp her image and embrace her raunchier side. She went from Hannah Montana to being compared to sex symbol Madonna in a matter of years. Since she’s so provocative now, an autobiographical tale could show that that may have always been there and talk about the road she has taken to be comfortable embracing it now.

The Barbs would go into a frenzy if their leader Nicki Minaj decided to let them in on her life in an autobiographical account. Before her rise to fame with YMCMB, she was in the south side of Jamaica, Queens dealing with a drug addicted father and watching her mother struggle to support her. Her story would be sure to bring her fans closer to her than they have ever felt.

Keyshia Cole
Keyshia Cole gave her fans an up and close and personal view of her life when she allowed BET cameras into her life with her two reality shows The Way It Is and Keyshia & Daniel: Family First. From her rekindling her relationship with her mother to trying to find out her own paternity, the Oakland native took the audience on a roller coaster of emotions and an autobiography would probably have the same effect. Writing about her failed marriage to NBA player Daniel Gibson, her rocky relationship with her mother and sister and her experiences with the music industry would have readers glued to the pages.

The Basketball Wives reality star has been very entertaining to say the least since her emergence onto the show. If she was to translate her tell it like it is persona into a book about her upbringing and her life as a basketball wife who later had to receive food stamps, it would be sure to be a best seller.
