Dame Dash is continuing with his lawsuit against movie director Lee Daniels and is lining up some big names to help him plead his case. According to the New York Daily News, in an updated complaint filed at the Manhattan Supreme Court, Dash is calling on Kanye West and Mariah Carey to be witnesses in his $25 million case against Daniels. The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder claims that he was cheated out of money that he invested in Daniels’ films like Precious, The Butler and Paperboy.
Dash claims that he got Yeezy to help Daniels back in 2004 by having him to perform at venues where ads for one of his early movies, The Woodsman, would run.The Harlem native also said he got Mariah Carey to be in Daniels’ 2008 film Tennessee despite his prior film not performing well. In the lawsuit, the 43-year-old states that he did not receive producer credits on some of the films he was involved in and was not compensated for the $2 million he invested into Lee’s movies. Dash claims to have executive produced six of his films.
