One Kardashian tried to break the internet and one Jenner is taking over the high fashion world. Kendall Jenner is the face of not one, but three new Dazed magazine covers, adding to her list of accomplishments in 2014. The London-based magazine features Kylie’s older sister in their Winter 2014 issue for their first 100 creatives worth watching in 2015 list. It features two new photos of the rising model and a mashup of both covers, designed by Instagram collagist, Doug Abraham.
Shot by photographer Ben Toms, the first cover takes on a colorful, futuristic approach with Kendall posing in a space-like headpiece and an avant-garde piece from Junya Watanabe. The second edition takes a different turn, shot in black-and-white and highlighting the pop in Kendall’s eyes, Twiggy-inspired eyelashes, a short jet-black bob, and an oversized military jacket by Marc Jacobs. All three covers make a bolder statement with the headline, “Kendall Jenner: changing the face of fashion,” and we wonder, how true is this declaration?
The good news didn’t come without criticism, with many readers of Dazed feeling as though it’s too soon to make a call of that magnitude for the reality TV star. Given Kendall’s impressive growing resumé, what are your thoughts? Is Kendall Jenner changing the face of fashion?
