This generation’s fixation with social media has even made its way to the most serious of medical institutions. Seconds before late comedienne Joan Rivers suffered a cardiac arrest (which ultimately led to her death), her primary surgeon took a selfie with her while she was under anesthesia.
According to a source account on CNN, the unidentified Yorkville Endoscopy clinic employee snapped the photo in the procedure, then proceeded to perform a biopsy that she didn’t approve first. “Investigators believe that Rivers’ vocal cords began to swell during the allegedly unauthorized biopsy, cutting off the flow of oxygen to her lungs, which led to cardiac arrest on the morning of August 29, the source said.”
This is all very disturbing and eyebrow-raising. Vixens, should the doctor that took a selfie with Joan Rivers accept blame for the medical mishap?
