In the entertainment world women don’t always get along. Now more than ever cattiness is at an all time high with social media at the fingertips of everyone with a cell phone and an opinion. The following divas haven’t held their tongue and they’ve got a crazy reputation to prove it!
After Rihanna’s best friend Melissa Forde instagrammed a subliminal stab at Ciara, the two singers found themselves at odds for the second time. Rih Rih is quickly garnering a reputation for delivering shade.
R&B singer Keyshia Cole is no stranger to telling it how it is. But when she shared her true feelings about Michelle William’s lackluster performance on the Superbowl stage, she was criticized for being too harsh. Keyshia defended herself by claiming Michelle previously took a shot at her and she was simply returning the favor. Regardless of who started it, Keyshia looked like a bully.
Timbaland’s protege was well on her way to becoming an R&B heavyweight until she made the tragic mistake of dropping a few lines about Queen Bey on the remix of “Turnin’ Me On”. Her lyrics, “She need to go have some babies/she need to sit down she fake/Them other chicks ain’t even worth talkin bout”, came off as a subliminal diss to Beyoncé and the Beyhive crew went into attack mode. Keri Hilson added insult to injury when she refused to hold up a magazine with Beyoncé on the cover during a red carpet appearance. Keri denies having any issues with Beyoncé, but the damage to her reputation has already been done.
Yung Rapunxel has been letting down more than just her hair since she came on the scene. Azealia Banks has been giving shade via twitter, and radio and magazine interviews since her outrage over Iggy Azalea making XXL‘s Freshman cover. The young rapper has beefed with everyone from T.I. to Perez Hilton, and most recently Rita Ora. Some say Azealia’s attitude eclipses her true talent and it’s questionable if the firecracker’s quick tongue (or fingers) will hold her back from reaching her potential.
