Forget street cred, how about them college creds?
Although some of hip hop’s most hardcore, drugging and trapping rappers boast of the street life, humble beginnings and illegal activity, some of them achieved a college education after high school. It’s one thing to attend college then drop out, i.e. Chicago rapper Kanye West, but to endure all obstacles of obtaining a degree is truly commendable. And we’re not talking those honorary degrees, neither, like Diddy’s honorary doctorate degree from Howard University. We mean those demanding semester schedules, early morning classes, and strict professors and P.A.’s. But many artists are tight lipped about their higher education, but we feel it’s a great inspiration and we’re celebrating those rappers who achieved that milestone.
Take a look at our favorite rappers who walked across the stage.
