The sun is out. The snow is melting. New York Fashion Week is officially rejuvenated post-Nemo. With our exclusive beauty pass, Vixen got a first hand look at Lela Rose models prepping for the Fall 2013 runway. Paired with Rose’s fairytale-inspired collection, ethereal hair, make-up and pops of color made for an amazing final look.
Celebrity hair stylist Ted Gibson used his own products created from flower and fruit extracts, to create the fairytale look.
The models’ hairstyles were created by wrapping aluminum foil into U-shaped pieces. After spraying with Ted Gibson Beautiful Hold Hair Spray, the foils created loose curls that were carefully teased to texturize. Finally, they were pinned at the nape of the neck for additional volume.
Faces were dressed in Stila Cosmetic’s whimsical colors, giving the illusion of brighter skin. Before and after the show, models will use Arcona Skincare products to clean and moisturize their skin.
Finishing off the look, the models wore Deborah Lippmann’s I Wanna Be Sedated nail polish. Inspired by 1980’s punk rock, the iconoplast yellow shade is on trend for fall. “It’s no longer about a nude nail,” explains Lippmann.
