Need to punch up your wardrobe this fall? Look no further than Tracy Reese. Season after the season the Detroit-native defies tradition and swathes her fall/winter collection in blazing hues. Her fall 2013 collection, full of metallic, reds, blacks and teals, aligned well with that expectation. – Evette Dionne
I was impressed with a vibrant neon-colored overcoat, the contrast of bold colors with neutrals and the emergence of rich, chic colors on Tracey’s catwalk. Tailored black-and-gold dresses perfect for black-tie dinners controlled the end of the collection, bringing sophistication to Lincoln Center.
In support of this evolution, the models donned sleek, simple bobs and sunglasses. One model even traipsed the runway with a cat on a leash – not sure what that signified, but I lived for the moment.
Overall, Reese earned an A for reimagining fall’s palette and unveiling the inner Diahann in all of us.
