Who wouldn’t want to peak into Beyonce’s wardrobe and check out all her fabulous outfits? Well, now you can do exactly that at her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame exhibition.
The exhibit, which takes place at the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall in its Legends of Rock section, will feature a variety of Bey’s outfits—from stage costumes to red carpet gowns.
Some of the items you can expect to ogle are the one-shoulder bodysuit that Bey wiggled around in on the “Single Ladies” video, the robotic body armor she donned for “Sweet Dreams” and sexy vest and shorts combo she rocked for “Crazy and Love.”
The shirt and jacket she wore in her Superbowl performance, the Givenchy gown from the 2012 Met Gala and the sparkly top ‘Yonce wore on her Dangerously in Love album cover are also featured.
Given that she’s the biggest star on the planet, it might seem like a no-brainer that Beyonce would be honored in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but due to the strict regulations, artists only become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record and are judged on the basis of “the influence and significance of the artist’s contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll” according to the Hall of Fame’s website.
That means Bey would have to wait until 2022 (with Destiny’s Child) or 2027 (as a solo artist) before being ushered in.
Lee Anne Callahan-Longo, the general manager of Beyonce’s production house, Parkwood Entertainment, told MailOnline that the star was humbled by the opportunity to have her personal items in the museum:
“For an artist to be able to have a presence where all of her idols and mentors live, it is a big deal. It’s very meaningful to an artist when you feel like you’ve accomplished certain levels and to be asked to be part of this before she’s eligible, I think that’s really special.”
